About Twende Coach

Twende is Swahili for "let's go." It's what you say to someone right before you set out together, and that's the whole idea.

Training for a race is a long string of ordinary days. The plan is rarely the hard part. Showing up on a Tuesday when you're tired, figuring out what to do after a missed week, knowing whether today should feel easy or hard: that's where most people drift. A good coach helps with exactly that, but most runners don't have one.

Twende Coach is a coach that lives in your texts. It builds your plan around your schedule and your goal, checks in the night before each run with the workout and the weather, and adjusts every week based on how your runs actually went. No app to open, no dashboard to keep up with. Just a conversation with someone who's paying attention.

How it works

1. A quick sit-down. Tell your coach about your race, your week and your running so far. Two minutes, and your first week arrives right away.

2. One text a night. Every evening you get tomorrow's workout, the pace to aim for and what to wear for the forecast. Every Sunday, the week ahead.

3. Text back after you run. "6 miles, felt heavy" is enough. Your coach logs it, asks for anything missing, and adapts next week. Connect Strava and runs log themselves.

What we believe

Consistency beats heroics. A plan should fit your life, not the other way around. And hard things are easier with someone in your corner.

Who's behind it

Twende Coach is a small, independent project built by a runner who's training for a marathon too. The coaching is written by AI (Anthropic's Claude), guided by established training principles and by everything you tell it. It's general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
